Friday, July 24 – Practice

Gate opens: 9:00 AM

Registration opens: 9:15 AM

Practice by group. Begins: 11:00 AM

Practice ends: 5:00 PM

Engines shut down by 6:00 PM

Gate closes: 7:30 PM

Saturday, July 25 – Practice, Race

Gate opens: 7:00 AM

Registration opens: 8:00 AM

Pre-race technical inspection: All Day

Drivers meeting: 9:00 AM

Practice: Two rounds of practice by group begins: 9:30 AM

Heat 1: Follows practice – Grid positions by draw

Heat 2: Follows heat 1 – Grid positions inverted from heat 1

Final: Grid positions by average finish in Heats 1 & 2

Gate Closes: 8:00 PM

Supplemental Local Rules

Engines may not be run before 10:00 AM on practice day or 9:30 AM on race days. All engines must stop running at 6:30 PM. No parties or loud music after 8:00 PM.

No vehicles are allowed in the restricted pit area except “working” vehicles.

A pre entry form will be available on this web site. Click on the “Avon PE” button on the left to download a .pdf copy of the form.

One day pass:                                   $15

Two day pass:                                   $20

Practice fee:                                      $20 per day

Entry fee:                                            $40 each class

Kid kart entry fee                               $15

Fuel (4-cycle classes)                      Fuel supplied by track – due to price instability, price will be announced later.

WKA Temporary Membership        $5.00

Reserve Parking

Limited reserved parking is available on a first come, first served basis or with pre entry. The charge is $25 for a 12” x 20 foot space. Extra length trailers will be charged for a second pit spot. Contact Al Gutberlet at 585-872-1973 for information.

Directions to the Track

The GVKC track is located south of Rochester, NY off of Interstate 390. From Rochester, drive south on I 390 to the East Avon exit (Exit 10, New York Route 20). Drive about ½ mile west on Route 20 to Route 15 in downtown East Avon. Turn left (south) on Route 15. Drive about two miles south on Route 15. The track is on the left. There is a fishing bait shop, a pond, and a GVKC sign out front.  If you reach farm country, you've gone too far.
