2009 Awards Banquet:  The WKANESS District 9 Challenge Series Awards Banquet was held on Sunday, December 6 in conjunction with the Oswego Speedway and Cherry Valley awards ceremonies. A number of our WKANESS competitors were on hand to be recognized for their accomplishments with trophies, plaques and cash awards.

WKANESS 2010 Event Schedule: The WKANESS Board met after the Awards Banquet to discuss the 2010 schedule and race plans. Everyone agreed that the schedule and race format followed in 2009 worked well. As a result 2010 will look much the same as 2009.

Following is the 2010 schedule:

• May 7 & 8 -- Cherry Valley
• June 4 & 5 -- Avon
• June 25 & 26 -- Oswego Speedway
• July 16 & 17 Cherry Valley
• August 27 & 28 Avon

Practice will be held on Friday and races on Saturday. There will be two heats and a feature for each class. Starting positions for the first heat will be based on random draw, and the second heat starting positoins will be inverted from the first heat starting positions. There will be 25 bonus points for each event except Oswego. 50 bonus points will be awarded for racing at that track. Bonus points are earned just for entering.
